Big B's fans praise 'Jhund' and compare him to other Bollywood stars, actor says all artistes are equal

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to thank his fans for the overwhelming response to his latest film ‘Jhund’. The film directed by Nagraj Manjule is based on the story of Vijay Barse, who established an NGO, Slum Soccer to rehabilitate street kids by turning them into footballers to combat drugs and crime.

‘Jhund’ released on March 4, has been receiving stellar reviews from critics and audiences. The 79-year-old actor’s performance has been earning him critical acclaim. The actor through his Twitter has been responding to fans praising the movie.

While one user pointed out the 9.3 rating for the film on IMDB, the legendary actor responded by saying, “The ratings continue to grow... grateful to all the viewers and their love for the film"

Another fan, who seemed to be highly impressed with the movie, drew parallels between Bachchan Sr and the young Turks of Bollywood. The user hailed Bachchan for giving viewers a clean family movie. The ‘Sholay’ actor responded saying, “Humbled and embarrassed by the comparison... all artists are equal... please do not give comparisons.”
Big B’s work has not only impressed his millions of fans, but also several stars from the film fraternity. Earlier this month, superstar Aamir Khan got teary-eyed after watching the film. Khan praised Big B’s performance and hailed the children who worked in the film. After watching the film, the ‘Ghajini’ star reportedly told the makers of the film that ‘Jhund’ broke whatever we learnt in the last 20-30 years.

The film also stars Marathi actors Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in key roles.
