Amitabh Bachchan sports silver shoes and a green wristwatch at a website launch

Amitabh Bachchan was in a relaxed mood last Thursday evening as he launched worldoo. com, an online entertainment and knowledge platform for children aged 6-12 years. Asked if the association with the venture reminded him of his childhood games, Bachchan replied, "It did. We played marbles, gullidanda and rode bicycles. And the knowledge part of it came from school and stories told by elders."

Characteristically, Bachchan's attire was classic with a few playful touches. White shirt, grey jacket and grey trousers, accessorised by silver shoes sans socks and a green wrist watch. Asked if the timepiece was his inner child coming out, he laughed and said, "I just thought it'd match the green that you see this side (the prominent colour on the worldoo interfaces). It's just a very ordinary plastic watch. Nothing special."
