Amitabh Bachchan recalls how Miranda House girls teased him during first visit when he was a Kirori Mal student. Says says he realised what women go through when they are eve-teased

Amitabh Bachchan recently recalled a personal anecdote about visiting Delhi’s Miranda House college. The Bollywood megastar, who is currently hosting the popular quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, made the revelation during a special episode featuring Madhuri Dixit. Amitabh, who himself was a student of Kirori Mal in the National Capital, recalled being teased by the Miranda House girls. The incident left a mark on the Brahmastra star as it made him realise what women feel and go through when eve-teased.

Amitabh Bachchan shared that the incident happened during his first visit to Miranda House. Some of the students of the female-only college were seated on the hostel balcony when they noticed Amitabh and made playful remarks about his walking style.

‘Thodi si sensitive baat hai. Jis din hum pehli dafa Miranda House mein ghuse to balcony pe baithi jitne hostel ki ladkiyan thi bole aay hay kya chaal hai. (This is a little sensitive. The day I visited Miranda House for the first time, all the girls sitting on the hostel balcony said, 'Hey, look at the way he walks),’ shared Amitabh.

Big B then told Madhuri Dixit that when it happened, he understood how teasing affects women. The Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham actor added that when an individual faces something similar, only then they seem to understand the gravity of the situation. As for Amitabh, he was completely clueless back then of how to react and what to do.

When Madhuri Dixit wanted to know what Amitabh Bcahchan did next, the film veteran said that he simply ran away from there. In other news, Amitabh’s Mumbai home Jalsa received a bomb threat, prompting security agencies to launch an investigation. But the authorities later confirmed that the threat was a hoax.
