Amitabh Bachchan reaches 15 million followers on Twitter

MUMBAI: "Piku" star Amitabh Bachchan has become the first Bollywood celebrity to reach the 15 million follower mark on micro-blogging site Twitter.

With this milestone, the 72-year-old megastar has left other Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan (13.3 million), Salman Khan (12.2 million), Aamir Khan (12.9 million) and Priyanka Chopra (9.81 million) far behind.

Bachchan made his Twitter debut in May, 2010 and ever since the account has been a one stop destination for his fans to connect, interact and engage with the actor.



Followed by stars like Mukesh Bhatt, Sridevi, Dilip Kumar and Madhuri Dixit on Twitter, the actor is also active on other social media sites including Facebook and Tumblr.

Bachchan has so far posted 41.6 thousand tweets.
