Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji Pay Tribute To Krishna Raj Kapoor

Krishna Kapoor, the widow of the legendary Bollywood actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor, passed away on Monday, following a cardiac arrest, at the age of 87.

Often known as the 'First Lady of the Film Fraternity', she is survived by her three sons Randhir, Rishi, Rajiv, and daughters Ritu Nanda and Rima Kapoor-Jain.


Bollywood turned up in full strength to pay their last respects at the Kapoor residence.

The Kapoor sisters, Karisma and Kareena reached the Pali Hill Bungalow to pay tribute to their grandmother.

Amitabh Bachchan, whose daughter Shweta Bachchan-Nanda is married to Krishna Raj Kapoor's grandson Nikhil Nanda, also joined the family in paying tribute to the Kapoor matriarch. He was seen arriving with Bachchan-Nanda.


Actress Rani Mukerji was also spotted at the Kapoor bungalow to pay her last respect.

Actor Saif Ali Khan, was also spotted reaching the Kapoors' bungalow. The actor's wife Kareena Kapoor is the grand-daughter of the late Krishna Raj Kapoor.

Bollywood's other Kapoors - brothers Anil and Sanjay - also arrived to pay their respects. Anil Kapoor's father Surinder Kapoor was Prithviraj Kapoor's cousin.
Actress Kajol, who has been busy with the promotions of her forthcoming film "Helicopter Eela" was also there.
