Amitabh Bachchan posts throwback pictures, fans ask 'is this Abhishek Bachchan?'

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Monday shared an old picture of himself as he took a trip down memory lane.

The 80-year-old took to his official Instagram handle on February 27 to share an old black and white picture of himself.

The monochromatic picture from Bachchan’s prime days shows the actor sitting down holding a tea cup in his hand. The veteran star looks dashing dressed in a crisp suit and sleek hair.


As Sr. Bachchan shared a throwback picture of himself on the photo-sharing platform, several users compared the image to the 80-year-old’s son, Abhishek Bachchan, calling it a “carbon copy”.

The 'Zanjeer' star captioned the picture: "Once upon a very long time ago !! Tea ??" with a bunch of ‘rolling on the floor laughing’ emojis.

Reacting to the post, TV actor Rohit Bose commented: "Eyes always intense !!!"

Whereas actress Gauahar Khan commented with a red heart and raised hands emoji.

But the ones who are having a field day in the comments section are the fans. A fan wrote: "Looks like a superstar Abhishek Bachchan." Another person said: "So handsome (you) look like Abhishek."

"I thought it was Abhishek Bachchan," read another comment. "Amazing pictures," said an Instagram user. Yet another: "Old is gold #90s king superstar #amitabhbachchan post."

Many users on Instagram were also curious about the cup of tea in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' star's hand and wondered if there was any tea left.

Some also expressed that nothing beats homemade tea.
