Amitabh Bachchan gets emotional on 'KBC 14', tears up at seeing wife Jaya, son Abhishek

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's 80th birthday will be a special treat for 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14' ('KBC 14') fans.

Next week, the Sony quiz show will see the Big B take the hot seat with his actress-wife Jaya Bachchan as actor-son Abhishek Bachchan turned host.

In the 30-second-long teaser, the veteran actress could be seen getting emotional when Abhishek gave him a warm hug. He could be seen wiping away his tears as Mrs Bachchan, who was later invited to the stage, shared something emotional about the host of the show.


Bachchan Sr has been a part of 'KBC' for 12-long years, and the 14th season marks his 13th outing as the host of the show.


Recently, Bachchan engaged in friendly banter with a 'KBC 14' contestant.

When Pinky Jawarani, a homemaker from Madhya Pradesh's Satna, asked the Big B if celebrities wash their clothes at home, the 'Paa' star revealed that he even irons his clothes and puts them in the almirah.

As the show progressed, the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fan urged Bachchan to tell his daughter-in-law and actress that she was one of her big fans on the show.

Later, the 34-year-old shared her experience of being on the show, and said, "I loved talking to Mr Bachchan and he seems like a very honest and caring human being."

She expressed her gratitude towards Big B for answering all her questions. "He did not make me feel less than in any way and was gracious and kind enough to answer my questions. Everyone really enjoyed my conversation with Mr Bachchan, and I hope he remembers me," she was quoted as saying.

Besides 'KBC', Bachchan was last seen in Ayan Mukerji-directorial 'Brahmastra: Part-1 Shiva', which also featured star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. According to reports, the movie has ended the dry spell for Bollywood at the box-office as it collected Rs 425 crore (worldwide gross) in 25 days since it was released on September 9.
