Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor attend Aadesh Shrivastava's funeral

MUMBAI: A host of Bollywood personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Anees Bazmee, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan and others paid their last respects to music director Aadesh Shrivastava at Oshiwara crematorium today.

Rajiv Kapoor, Pahlaj Nihlani, Shekar Kapoor, Kunal Ganjawala, Pandit Jasraj, Ismail Darbar, Sajid-Wajid, Alka Yagnik too attended the last rites.

Shrivastava, who was suffering from cancer, died at 12:30 am. He was 49. He was being treated at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for over 40 days.

Shrivastava rose to fame with his compositions for films like "Chalte Chalte", "Baabul", "Baghban", "Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham" and "Rajneeti". He gave memorable numbers like "Sona sona", "Shava shava", "Gustakhiyaan" and "Gur Nalon Ishq Mitha".

He is survived by wife Vijeta Pandit, a former Bollywood actress and sister of music-composer duo Jatin- Lalit, and the couple's two sons -- Anivesh and Avitesh.
