Hollywood actress Amber Heard, who was last seen in 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' in 2021, has reportedly deactivated her Twitter account.

The news comes days after the 'Aquaman' star's former flame Elon Musk took over the Twitter reigns. Speculations have been made about what made Heard disappear from the platform. She hasn't officially addressed the rumours.

In the wake of the move, a string of famous faces announced their plans to leave the platform, including stars Shonda Rhimes and Mick Foley. Heard, who previously had a verified account under the handle @realamberheard, is no longer visible on the microblogging site, sparking speculation that she has followed suit. When one looks for her handle, a message appears: "This account doesn't exist. Try searching for another".

The Instagram account of Heard, who has taken a step back from the spotlight after losing her highly-publicised court battle against former husband Johnny Depp, is currently still visible but has not been updated since June 1.

Heard and the world's richest billionaire with a net worth of $200 billion were reportedly dating each other in 2017.

Some claimed Heard blackmailed Musk before leaving Twitter.

Depp supporters called it a treat for the fans of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star.

According to a Mashable report, Heard moved to a little town in Spain's Mallorca with her daughter Oonagh Paige after the lawsuit ended. She welcomed her baby girl via surrogacy in July 2021.

The report also said that the actress has rented a home with a price tag of 2.8 million euros and is leading a quiet life in a community of fewer than 2,000 people.

The trial, which took the internet by storm, went on for about six weeks and was held in Virginia. Depp won the defamation case and was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Heard, on the other hand, was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.

The highly-publicised Depp-Heard defamation trial will now be adapted into a film. Titled 'Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial', the film is set to debut exclusively on the free Tubi streaming service. Variety reported that the film stars Mark Hapka (of 'Parallels, Days of Our Lives') as Depp and Megan Davis (of 'Alone in the Dark') as Heard.
