#AmazonIndiaFashionWeek: Designer duo Abraham & Thakore give a fashionable twist to khadi

Khadi ruled the ramp at Abraham & Thakore's show on the second day of the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week. Re-inventing the hand-woven fabric that is usually related to nationalism, the designer duo's latest collection added glamour to it with subtle hints of shine and gold.

Straight cuts, solid blacks and whites with gold calligraphy and font! The white kurta with gold cuffs took understated luxury to a whole new level. And, we still can't get over the hand-spun sarees.

Talking about the collection, the designers said, "A fabric we love, we have worked with khadi over the years. Hand spun and hand woven, it is one of the greatest example of Indian craftsmanship and human dexterity."

In an age of unsustainable fast fashion, this collection celebrates the irregularity of the human hand in the 'slowest of slow fashion'.
