Amazon India Fashion Week comes to an end

The change in the title sponsor was reason enough for all eyes to be on the recent fashion week in Delhi. Amazon tying up with the event created buzz, as did the giant India Fashion Week hoardings. Those who attended the finale are still reeling from the after-effects of the show. Twenty-five renowned Indian designers came together to show their collections to the theme of Crafts of India.

Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi, Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Verma, Ritu Kumar, Wendell Rodricks, Anamika Khanna, Gaurav Gupta and Rina Dhaka were among those who took a bow before the curtains came down. A source told us that right before the show was about to commence, a catty designer made the rather morbid remark that if the venue blew up, it would take all the stalwarts of the Indian fashion scene with it.

No such thing happened. The only sound heard was that of a thunderous applause to brilliant designs and camaraderie.
