Amazon Fire TV Cube: Streaming box with capabilities of a smart speaker
Shaped like a cube, the device has buttons for volume control, muting the microphone and wake-up for Alexa.

There is an Alexa enabled remote that can be used to operate the Cube via voice commands. As a streaming device, the experience is similar to the Fire TV stick. But it is a few shades faster, thanks to the hexcore processor inside. There is also an integrated Mali G52-MP2 GPU along with 2GB of RAM and16 GB of internal storage. The Fire TV cube has the usual array of OTT apps and the whole experience is smooth. Apps load quickly and the playback speed is impressive.
Alexa is helpful on Fire TV Cube but not all-powerful like it is on Echo devices. You can use it to switch the TV on or off, adjust volume, pause content and comes in handy if you can’t find the remote. You cannot use the speaker on the Fire TV Cube to play music though but can use it to control other smart devices at home. At Rs 12,999, the Fire TV Cube is expensive. It is a good crossover device, but the Alexa functionalities are limited. For most users, the regular Fire TV Stick variants — from Rs 2,999 to Rs 5,999 — are enough. If you have a smart home, then getting the Fire TV Cube makes sense .Otherwise, you can get a 4K variant of the Fire TV Stick and Amazon Echo Dot for a little less than what the Fire TV Cube costs.
