Amanda Bynes' psychiatric hold extended for two weeks
LOS ANGELES: Actress Amanda Bynes' second psychiatric hold has been extended for two more weeks.

The troubled star, who has been making bizarre claims on her Twitter page, was immediately taken to a hospital in Los Angeles upon her return to LAX on October 10. She was initially held there for 72 hours, reported Us magazine.

The former Nickelodeon star alleged that her father had sexually, physically, and verbally abused her as a child just before being sent to the hospital.

Her mother Lynn blamed Bynes' poor mental health for such claims.

The actress later retracted her accusations, saying, "My dad never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me."

Bynes was put in six month rehab following an involuntary psychiatric hold after similar erratic behaviour.
