Allu Arjun completes 20 years in Tollywood, pens emotional note for fans

South sensation and nation's crush Allu Arjun completed two decades in the film industry on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old took to social media to pen an emotional note on completing 20 years in the Telugu entertainment industry, also known as Tollywood.

Expressing his gratitude to his 20.3 million followers on Instagram and 7.5 million fans on Twitter, the superstar said that he is blessed to be loved and owes his career to the audience.


"Today, I complete 20 years in the film industry. I am extremely blessed & have been showered with love. I am grateful to all my people from the industry. I am what I am because of the love of the audience, admirers and fans. Gratitude forever," he wrote in a statement.

The actor, who became a pan-India star after the success of the 2021 Telugu film 'Pushpa: The Rise', made his acting debut with the Telugu film 'Gangotri'. s Directed by K Raghavendra Rao, the 2003 movie also starred Aditi Agarwal and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.

His heartfelt note struck a chord with his fans and industry friends. Many fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons. While his post on Twitter got 1.3 million views and 44.7K likes, he received more than 906K likes on Instagram.

In his two-decade-long career, the 'Pushpa' star has featured in several action films like 'Bunny', 'Arya' series, 'Desamuduru', 'Parugu', 'Julayi', 'Vedam', 'Sarrainodu', 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', and biographical period action movie 'Rudhramadevi'.

Arjun was last seen in 'Pushpa: The Rise' alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Sukumar, the action entertainer was released in theatres on December 17, 2021. The film also featured Fahadh Faasil in a negative role.

The actor is currently working on 'Pushpa: The Rule', the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster. The official release date of the film is still awaited. He also has director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's next film in his kitty.
