All-rounder Axar Patel gets hitched to long-time beau Meha Patel at Vadodara

India's ‘all-rounder’ Axar Patel, a.k.a. Akshar Patel, has joined the marriage bandwagon! The ace cricketer tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Meha Patel in Vadodara, Gujarat, on Thursday (January 26).

The cricketer skipped the ODI series against New Zealand for this occasion. Although he did not post pictures from his wedding on social media, some fan accounts shared photos and videos from the event, which quickly went viral on social media.
His wife, Meha also shared a clip of the duo enjoying some fireworks at their special day.
Another video shows the cricketer showing off his considerable dancing skills at his wedding. In the video, he is seen lip-syncing and dancing to a Hindi song like a pro. He also lifts his bride to the beat of the song! The clip has gone viral on Twitter. The video was shared by a Twitter user called Mufaddal Vohra. Sharing the clip, they accompanied it with the short and sweet caption, “Axar Patel got moves! Many congratulations to them!” The video clip has amassed almost 390K views, over 13K likes, and 783 retweets!

In the pictures, the couple looked absolutely breathtaking in matching off-white clothes. He looked dapper in an ivory-coloured, intricately embroidered sherwani and matching dupatta, while she looked ethereal in a pristine white lehenga (with a hint of gold in the designs) and zari dupatta. She decided to go for intricate, flamboyant gold jewellery to add a dash of colour and glam to the monochrome look.

Who is Meha Patel?
Meha Patel is a dietician and nutritionist. The couple had been dating for several years before finally announcing their engagement in January 2022. Patel took to Twitter and dropped some adorable pictures of the duo, along with the caption, “Today is the new beginning of our life. Together and forever. Love you till eternity.” She is also active on social media and has 27,000 followers on Instagram.
