All in a name: The mystery behind the mix-up in the inboxes of Neha Hiranandani & Neha Hiranandani

It could have been called the case of the missing mails, except that there’s no mystery behind the mix-up in the inboxes of Neha Hiranandani and Neha Hiranandani. While one is real estate tycoon Surendra Hiranandani’s daughter, the other is brother Niranjan’s daughter-in-law.

We caught up with the daughter-in-law Neha at a party hosted by Niranjan Hiranandani to celebrate the Padma Bhushan won by his friend Hafeez Contractor. While Neha Jhalani is married to Niranjan’s son Darshan, Neha Hiranandani is married to entrepreneur Varun Jalan, and the couple is now based in the UK.

The daughter-in-law laughingly revealed that there are more coincidences than just the first name and surname. "I am now Neha Jhalani Hiranandani and she is now Neha Hiranandani Jalan. We are always exchanging each other’s mails that are meant to be for the other one," she says.
