All for a cause! Deepika Padukone’s Ralph Lauren boots auctioned for charity

For billionaire Adar Poonawalla’s wife Natasha, luxury is second nature, followed closely by charity. So, when luxury brand website LabelCentric recently held a ‘celebrity closet’ auction online, Poonawalla’s Jimmy Choo shoes, Christian Dior clutch and Fendi handbag were among the many other items listed.

The auction also included Deepika Padukone’s Ralph Lauren boots and a Moschino tie belonging to Imran Khan. The proceeds from the auction will be given to each celebrity’s choice of charity. Poonawalla put her enviable selection for charity to support her own NGO — the Lila Poonawalla Foundation. Given the lavish choice of celebrity-owned items, it came as no surprise that most of them were sold within a few hours. Poonawalla’s Christian Dior clutch went for Rs 27,500.
