Alisha Chinai backs allegations against Anu Malik, two decades after her own #MeToo claims
On Sunday, the music composer had stepped down as judge from the reality show 'Indian Idol'.

Following the #MeToo allegations against the music composer, Chinai - who had accused Malik back in the 1990s - has lent her support to the victims.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Chiani said, “Every word said and written about Anu Malik is true. I stand by all the women who have finally spoken up. May they find peace and closure in their lives.”

Chinai had filed a sexual harassment suit against Malik in the 1990s and got a restraining order passed against him.

On Sunday, Malik, who is facing #MeToo allegations by multiple women, had stepped down as judge from the reality show 'Indian Idol', Sony TV said in a statement.
Shweta Pandit, one of the women to have spoken against Malik, had called him a "pedophile and sexual predator". Malik's lawyers responded by calling her claims "false and baseless".

Over the last month, several men in the media and entertainment industry have been accused of sexual misconduct. Subhash Ghai, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Chetan Bhagat, Sajid Khan, and Varun Grover are among the names that have been called out in the #MeToo movement.
