A source told TOI, "Alia takes the test nearly every day and today also she has tested negative but has still isolated herself. On the professional front, the couple will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time in 'Brahmastra'. The Mukerji-directorial that went on floors in 2018 has been put on hold again after the corona-reports came positive. Kapoor will put all his personal and professionals commitments on hold until he has fully recovered.

The pandemic has also delayed the film's release date which was initially set on December 4, 2020.
