Who better to take shoe advice from than the man who knows all about them: Albert “Aldo” Bensadoun, founder of the Aldo Group, a retail shoe company based in Montreal, Canada. While you may think he has closets full of shoes, the stylish Mr B, as he is fondly called, manages to keep his collection to just 30 to 40 pairs. So, what does the boss of shoes recommend every man own? Well, just three pairs. He says, “I think every man should own just three pairs of shoes. A short Chelsea boot in nice leather, an athletic sneaker, but one that you can wear with a suit, and a pair of soft moccasins that can be worn with jeans.”

Apart from spotting the shoes you need, Mr B also has a keen eye for spotting talent in his hires and his advice on finding the right candidate is simple— just know what to look for. “Always look for intelligence, hard work, creativity, good human values — those are essential. Pick the person who really has the desire to succeed.”.
