Akshay Kumar-Sidharth Malhotra-starrer 'Brothers' earns Rs 13.50 crore on opening day
Karan Johar’s Brothers opened to a decent response at the box-office, though it’s not as strong as was expected from a film so big.

It has registered the third best opening of the year and managed to clock in a substantial Rs 13.50 crore.
The average occupancy on its first day was in the range of 35, which was lower than the opening of ABCD 2, which had received the second biggest opening of the year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The Independence Day has helped the film's prospects at the ticket windows as it earned Rs. 21.25crore nett on the second day.
Considering the budget of the film, it should earn around Rs 60 crore in its first weekend to sail safe, says Boxofficeindia.com.
