Akshay Kumar falls in love with Diu as he wraps 'Ram Setu' schedule

Bollywood's 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar wrapped the shooting for the Diu schedule of his upcoming action-adventure drama 'Ram Setu' on Sunday.

The actor took to Twitter to share a picture of himself from the location. He said that he was returning home with 'amazing memories of Diu'.


Calling Diu an 'incredible gem wrapped in history', the 54-year-old superstar said that the place is a natural beauty with lovely people. He further recommended tourists to visit the prison at the famous Pani Kotha fortress.

"Diu tujhe dil diya," he wrote. It means, "Diu, I give you my heart."


The 'Ram Setu' team travelled to Diu after completing the film's Ooty schedule in October.

On October 22, the actor - alongside a picture of himself with Jacqueline Fernandes and Satya Dev looking at the beautiful backdrop of the hill station - said that every dark cloud has a beautiful streak of light.

"Hope the divine light always guides us through thick and thin," his caption read.


Directed by Abhishek Sharma of 'Parmanu' and 'Tere Bin Laden' fame, 'Ram Setu' features the 'Sooryavanshi' star as an archaeologist. The film also features actress Nushrratt Bharuccha.

Produced by Kumar's Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions and Amazon Prime Video, the film had gone on floors in March this year but was put on hold after Kumar and 45 other crew members tested positive for COVID-19.

Kumar will next be seen in filmmaker Aanand L Rai's "Atrangi Re", scheduled to release on Disney + Hotstar on December 24. The film also stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.
