The movie will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, marking a pan-Indian OTT release. The confirmation comes after brief confusion when the streaming platform temporarily removed and later restored the release date on its catalogue, triggering speculation about a possible delay.
Akhanda 2: Thaandavam Plot
The sequel builds on the universe established in the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. The narrative revolves around Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Aghora, a powerful Aghori warrior who returns to confront a looming national crisis. The plot centres on a biowarfare threat planned during the Maha Kumbh Mela, aimed at destabilising India by attacking what is portrayed as its spiritual core.As the crisis escalates, scientist Dr. Janani becomes crucial to the nation’s survival after developing a vaccine to counter the biological weapon. Her breakthrough makes her a prime target, forcing Akhanda to step in once again to protect her. The film unfolds through intense confrontations across spiritual, political and border landscapes, positioning Akhanda as a one-man force against the threat.
