Ajay Piramal keeps track of Bill Gates's visit to India
Bill Gates has an eye on India, and keeping track of the billionaire's vision is none other than Ajay Piramal. The industrialist let slip that Gates is scheduled to make a private visit in the immediate future, and will continue to increase his commitment to India in the years ahead.

A billionaire himself, Piramal held up the Microsoft tycoon along with famed investor Warren Buffett as examples of the wealthy parting with their riches towards making the world a better place.

Also invoking the limitless generosity of Karna and the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, the chairman of Piramal Group underscored the importance of "promoting a culture of giving" in India.

Piramal, no mean philanthropist himself, was part of a panel discussion at the Mumbai Press Club, held as a prelude to the Daan Utsav. Previously known as the Joy of Giving Week, the festival runs from October 2 to 8.
