Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 set for blockbuster opening amid strong advance booking. Check weekend ticket prices in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion is heading towards its October 2 theatrical release with strong momentum at the advance-booking window. The third and final chapter of the Hindi thriller franchise has already crossed Rs 18 crore in gross advance bookings, while early trade estimates are putting its opening-day potential at more than Rs 40 crore net in India.

The film, directed by Abhishek Pathak, will arrive in cinemas on Gandhi Jayanti, giving it an extended holiday period to build on the early interest.

Drishyam 3 advance booking crosses Rs 18 crore

According to the latest Sacnilk data cited in reports, Drishyam: The Conclusion has collected Rs 18.48 crore in gross advance bookings across three tracked show dates. The figure stands at Rs 12.21 crore when block seats are excluded.


The film has sold around 4.77 lakh tickets across 21,281 shows, with overall reported occupancy at about 10 per cent. Excluding block seats, occupancy is around 6 per cent. So far, 24 shows have been reported sold out.

The numbers represent a significant jump from earlier tracking updates. Bookings opened on September 27, five days before the release, and the film had crossed Rs 10 crore in advance sales by Tuesday morning, according to figures cited by trade reports.

October 2 leads the advance sales

The opening day is currently responsible for the biggest share of the advance-booking collection. October 2 has contributed around Rs 9.72 crore, or roughly 53 per cent of the total gross tracked so far.

The strong Friday sales are particularly relevant because the film releases during the Gandhi Jayanti holiday. The extended weekend could therefore give the film additional opportunities at the box office, although advance bookings alone cannot determine its final theatrical performance.

Earlier tracking also showed more than four lakh tickets sold for the opening weekend within the first 48 hours. The pace has subsequently pushed the overall advance gross higher.

Maharashtra, Delhi drive pre-release numbers

Maharashtra is currently the biggest state contributor to the film's advance sales, with around Rs 5.87 crore in gross bookings. Delhi follows with Rs 4.17 crore, while Gujarat has contributed approximately Rs 1.54 crore.

At the city level, the National Capital Region (NCR) leads with Rs 4.17 crore, followed by Mumbai at Rs 3.45 crore and Pune at around Rs 1.61 crore. The top 10 cities account for about 70 per cent of the total advance gross being tracked.

Drishyam 3 ticket prices in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad

Ticket prices for the film vary by cinema, location, seat category and showtime. Based on the ticket-price information provided in BookMyShow listings, the current listed ranges include:

Bengaluru: Rs 210 to Rs 1,500

Delhi: Rs 230 to Rs 2,400

Hyderabad: Rs 200 onwards

Mumbai: Rs 200 onwards

These are not fixed prices for every cinema. Viewers should check the booking platform for the exact price of a particular show.

Can Drishyam 3 open above Rs 40 crore?

The early advance sales have led to trade estimates of an opening-day collection of more than Rs 40 crore net in India. However, this remains a projection and is not a confirmed box-office figure. Actual earnings will depend on occupancy, further advance sales and walk-in audiences after release.

For comparison, Drishyam 2 opened at around Rs 15 crore net domestically in 2022. Its reported final advance-booking total was around Rs 5.09 crore, meaning the third film has already moved well beyond that figure in its pre-release tracking.

Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar

Ajay Devgn reprises his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor returning to the franchise. Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Saurabh Shukla are among the additions to the cast.

The film continues Vijay's story after the events of the first two instalments, with a fresh investigation putting pressure on the secrets he has managed to protect. The Hindi film has its own story and ending, separate from the Malayalam franchise's third instalment.
