Sharad Agarwal, head of Lamborghini, India, looks forward to using robots and drones even at home:

Increasing screen time
“My screen time has increased as compared to pre-Covid days, not only while working from home but also while socialising. I have upgraded my internet package due to increased consumption, not just for myself but also for my family.

“Going forward, I will use technology to be more efficient and cost-effective. However, there are certain areas where I would prefer to have more personal meetings once things return to normal.”

Social adjustment
“Sharing an open office leads to a lot of cross-talk among family members but we understood that we were operating from a home environment, which is different from our formal office environments. We accepted the interruptions whenever they happened. I am personally more comfortable with using speakers as compared to headphones/earphones.”

Tech upgrade
“A lot of gadgets or technology-driven products have come into the house in the last few months since every member of the family requires their own personal device, be it for work, online classes or entertainment.

“If asked to choose, the most essential gadgets for me will undoubtedly be my phone and laptop, as they help me keep in touch with people not only professionally, but also personally. I don’t really have any other favourites as functionality matters the most to me.”

Pandemic essentials
“I find payment apps to be very helpful, especially against the current backdrop of the pandemic. They’ve become an integral part of our day-to -day transactions.

“Lately, artificial intelligence-based gadgets and robots have taken on a bigger role in our lives. Gadgets like multi-functional cleaning, sanitiser-dispensing robots and self-driving drones are all the rage. I look forward to adding a few of these intriguing innovations to my home.”
