Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Ramayana. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is scheduled to hit the big screens on the heels of Diwali, on November 5. Ranbir, who plays the role of Lord Rama, is paired opposite Sai Pallavi, who portrays Sita, in the epic drama. Ahead of Ramayana’s grand theatrical premiere, Ranbir and his co-star attended an interview where they opened up about the respective ‘diyas’ of their life.

Ranbir Kapoor gives shoutout to daughter Raha

Ranbir Kapoor, in a conversation with BBC Asian Network, revealed that his and Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha is the ‘diya’ of his life. The actor gave a shout-out to his 3-year-old, stating that this year marked the young one’s 4th Diwali.

What made the occasion extra special was the fact that Raha’s birthday was just 2 days before the festival of lights. ‘It will be her fourth Diwali. It is her birthday two days before Diwali, which is on the 6th of November,’ shared Ranbir, adding that he wishes Raha receives lots of blessings, good vibes and positivity from everyone around her.

Sai Pallavi gives shoutout to Ramayana team

When the host asked Sai Pallavi the same question, the actress revealed that she wants to give a shoutout to the whole Ramayana team. She admitted feeling ‘overwhelmed’ by the audience’s euphoric reception to Ramayana’s trailer and songs. But she pointed out that the crew members also deserve a similar response.

‘The last few days, I have been feeling a lot. I have been overwhelmed with the kind of reception and everything. But we are just the faces of the film. I would want to give a shout-out to everybody who has worked on Ramayana. Everybody, like ADs and people who worked on my costumes, everybody who has worked so hard,’ said Sai Pallavi. In conclusion, Sai Pallavi sent her best wishes to the Ramayana crew, praying for their well-being.
