How is BTS' Jungkook preparing himself for the 2026 comeback?
While BTS’ comeback plans have taken centre stage, Jungkook’s personal approach to health has also drawn attention. Known for his dedication and discipline, the youngest member of the group has been quietly making lifestyle changes as part of his preparation. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Jungkook spoke candidly about how he is prioritising self-care during this phase of his life. One of the biggest revelations from the interview was Jungkook’s diet choice. The singer shared that he is currently following a one-meal-a-day diet, commonly referred to as the OMAD diet. Explaining his mindset, Jungkook said that limiting himself to a single meal has actually changed how he looks at food.
He mentioned that having just one meal makes him anticipate it more and think carefully about what he wants to eat. According to him, finishing that meal gives him a strong sense of fulfilment, as if he has completed a task successfully, the singer explained during the interview.
What is OMAD?
The OMAD diet, as reported by Healthline, involves consuming all daily calories in one meal or within a very short time frame. For the rest of the day, followers of this routine fast, which majorly reduces overall calorie intake. Health experts note that any potential benefits of OMAD are largely linked to fasting and calorie restriction rather than the timing of the meal itself. All you need to know about Jungkook's fitness journey
Diet, however, is only one part of Jungkook’s fitness journey. The singer also spoke about the role of physical activity in his daily life. He shared that his routine includes a mix of exercises such as badminton, bowling, jogging, and regular cardio sessions. Rather than pushing himself too hard, Jungkook emphasised the importance of balance and consistency.Interestingly, Jungkook revealed that he prefers to work out without listening to music. He explained that exercising in silence helps him concentrate fully on himself and stay present in the moment.
Jungkook also opened up about how his military service influenced his outlook on life. He shared that his understanding of time and health changed significantly during and after his service. According to the singer, this shift encouraged him to avoid habits that could harm his body. He admitted that while he used to drink alcohol, he is now consciously trying to stay away from it and use his time in a more meaningful way.
Rather than chasing intense transformations, Jungkook stressed the value of small, consistent efforts. He explained that doing something simple every day is far more effective than making a big effort once in a while. As part of this routine, he makes it a point to do cardio every morning before showering and again before going to bed. Sticking to this schedule, he said, gives him confidence and a sense of achievement.
Meanwhile, BTS’s comeback plans continue to excite fans. The group is set to release their fifth full-length album on March 20, featuring 14 tracks that show their journey and connection with ARMY. The announcement was made through handwritten letters from the members. As Jungkook signed off in his message, he expressed how much he misses fans and how much he is looking forward to the year ahead. Stay tuned!
