After Samsung, Xiaomi launches new foldable smartphone, the Mix Fold 2; price starts at Rs 1.06 L

Seems like 2022 is all about foldable smartphones as Xiaomi is the latest brand after Samsung and Motorola to launch a new device in the segment. The tech company has unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, which comes just a day after Samsung revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Xiaomi launched the new foldable phone in China, however, there's still no official confirmation on the smartphone's global release date.
But here's what we know about the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. The smartphone has been launched at CNY 8,999 which is Rs 1,06,423 approximately. The new foldable phone by Xiaomi comes in three storage options: 12GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage and 12GB RAM + 1TB variant which would cost around Rs 1,42,000 approximately.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 flaunts a sleek 8.02-inch Samsung Eco screen that offers a resolution of 2160x1914 when unfolded. There's a 6.56-inch Samsung AMOLED E5 display with a resolution of 2520x1080 pixels when the phone is folded. The displays are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

To let users capture the moment in its truest colours, the smartphone offers a triple camera setup tuned by Leica with 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 8MP telephoto camera lens at the back with a 20MP single sensor at the front for selfies. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 packs a strong punch with its 4,500 mAh battery which supports 67W fast charging.
