Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who wowed fans with his ripped, action-ready physique in Madharaasi, has now undergone a drastic physical transformation for his next role. After packing on muscles for the AR Murugadoss directorial, which hit theatres on September 5, the actor is gearing up for his upcoming period drama Parasakthi. To play a character from the 1960s, Sivakarthikeyan had to shed weight and embrace a leaner look. In a recent interview, the South star opened up about his intense diet change, revealing the three simple foods that helped him cut down the bulk and transform his physique yet again.

What does Sivakarthikeyan eat in a day?

Speaking about the transformation, Sivakarthikeyan shared to DTNext that while Madharaasi and his earlier film Amaran required a bulkier build, his next role demanded the opposite. “Parasakthi is set in the 60s. The look had to be lean, subtle, and era-appropriate,” he said, explaining that his physical appearance had to align with the historical context of the film.

He added that during Madharaasi, he maintained a weight of around 80–82 kg, as the role involved action sequences, dance routines, and a dominating screen presence. His intense workout video from that phase, shared by his trainer, have gone viral, with fans praising his dedication to each role.

While Sivakarthikeyan initially hesitated to reveal the secret behind his weight loss, he eventually shared that his transformation came down to a very disciplined vegetarian diet. The actor revealed he has been surviving mainly on:
  • Vegetables
  • Fruits
  • Soups
These three basic food items have become his daily staples, helping him shed muscle while staying healthy and energetic. “I’ve been eating clean. Just veggies, fruits, and soups,” he said, adding that despite having a serious sweet tooth, he’s managed to completely avoid sugary temptations to stay focused on his transformation.
