In her latest vlog, actor Shoaib Ibrahim’s sister opened up about the emotionally draining month the family endured, sharing that Dipika has finally returned home after a gruelling 14-hour-long surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Taking strict precautions to protect her from any post-surgery infections, the family is taking turns visiting her. They were visiting the actress one at a time to avoid any risk of infection. She added that Dipika is in good spirits and finally able to be close to her son, Ruhaan, and care for him—something that has brought joy to them both. Saba credited her bhabhi’s return and stable health to “everyone’s prayers.”
In the vlog, Ruhaan could be seen coming upstairs to Saba to play with his newborn cousin. When Saba asked where Dipika was, the two-year-old said, “home”. However, what should have been a moment of peace was overshadowed by a wave of online negativity. Saba responded to the criticism she received for celebrating her newborn’s arrival while Dipika was still in the hospital. She revealed that the past month had been extremely challenging for the family. Although the 7th-day ceremony is a traditional ritual for newborns, they intentionally kept it simple. Both Shoaib and Dipika were present for the occasion, but the family prioritised Dipika’s health and ensured she was protected from any potential infections.
Saba made it clear that no matter what people say, Dipika’s safety and well-being were far more important to them than hosting a grand celebration.
