Adi Godrej's to-do list just nine short of 100

Colombia and the Dominican Republic will help the industrialist inch closer to his hundredth journey.

Most people have bucket lists of places they want to visit. Adi Godrej, chairman, Godrej group, maintains a reverse of that: the ones he has already visited. So far, 91 countries have found a spot on that list.

At a recent event at his group's headquarters in Mumbai, when asked about his plans for the remaining nine before he reaches a century, Godrej said, "I haven't been to Colombia or Dominican Republic. Those are the two countries in terms of the largest population that are still left."

Given his day job at the conglomerate, it is rare for Godrej to travel just for leisure. So he tries to club the two. He says this is mostly done by taking a quick trip to a place close to wherever he is travelling on work.

One of Godrej's recent trips was to Lake Como, Italy, last July. His children, Pirojsha, Tanya and Nisaba, organised it to celebrate his wife Parmeshwar's 70th birthday. Another visit he spoke of fondly was to Mykonos, Greece, after the debt crisis broke. But it appeared to him that all was quite alright and his trip went well.
