Kollywood is gearing up for the next big wedding! Actress Nayanthara, also known as lady superstar, is all set to tie the knot with film-maker Vignesh Shivan. The couple will reportedly get married on June 9 at Mahabalipuram. Nayanthara is currently the leading actress in the southern film industry.

In a career spanning around two decades, the actress has worked in some of the biggest blockbuster films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Her films have catapulted her to stardom with an ever-expanding fan base. And now, with her marriage on the cards with her longtime boyfriend Shivan, there is a considerable amount of excitement around the wedding.

If recent reports are to be believed the couple is likely to get married soon. Earlier, Shivan had announced that their wedding will take place at a private resort in Mahabalipuram on Thursday. The marriage will be a strictly private affair with only family members and close friends in presence.


Recently, the couple met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to extend an invite to their wedding. Nayanthara met Vignesh Shivan on the sets of his directorial ‘Naanum Rowdydhaan’ in 2015. The couple has been dating ever since.
Shivan had earlier this year revealed that they were planning to tie the knot in Tirupati, however they dropped the plan due to logistical constraints. In 2021, Nayanthara opened up about her relationship, the ‘Bigil’ actress said that was engaged to her partner Vignesh Shivan.

On the work front, Nayanthara was last seen in ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’ directed by Shivan. The film saw Nayanthara share the screen with Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

The 37-year-old superstar has an interesting line-up of films. She will make her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in film-maker Atlee's next 'Jawan', will be seen opposite Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi in 'Godfather'; Malayalam actor Prithviraj in 'Gold'.
