For the unversed, Mrunal began her career in 2012 with the television show Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan and later rose to fame as Bulbul in Kumkum Bhagya. She made a strong impact in films with her debut Love Sonia (2018), where she portrayed a victim of human trafficking.

During a conversation with Miss Malini, Mrunal opened up about a turning point in her life. She shared that she had once dreamt of going abroad to study filmmaking. However, she made the difficult decision to give up that plan after realising the financial burden it would place on her family. She explained that spending such a large amount on her education could have affected her brother’s future, and she chose to prioritise his opportunities instead.Looking back at that decision, the actress said that while she let go of her own dream at the time, she finds happiness in how things have turned out. According to her, "The fact that I, what I've gained today, is that today my brother is fulfilling my dreams. He's studying filmmaking. It's his fourth year and. He is studying in DePaul University, Chicago. So in a way he's living my dream. So I'm very happy about that."
She expressed that in many ways, he is living the dream she once had, and that thought brings her a sense of fulfilment and pride.
