Actor R Madhavan often delights fans with his quirky social media posts. The Dhurandhar 2 star is currently enjoying the success run of his latest offering, GDN. The film, directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar and based on legendary inventor GD Naidu, popularly known as the 'Edison of India', premiered on August 7. Amid this, Madhavan’s recent Instagram Stories entry has grabbed the internet’s attention. At the heart of the clip is an adorable baby elephant who got ‘jealous’ after seeing its mother carrying a puppy.

The clip opens to the baby elephant running after its mother from behind, taking big steps with its tiny feet. The reason? The mother elephant was carrying a cute puppy in its trunk, with the canine curled up comfortably.

The sight seemingly annoyed the baby elephant, who wasted no time in raising its grievance. As an act of complaint, the calf lifted its trunk and appeared to complain to its mother, much like a human baby. The baby elephant’s tantrums forced the mother to put down the puppy.


The video, originally posted by a media portal on Instagram, received multiple reactions from social media users. ‘That’s the proof that animals own our same feelings and behaviours,’ noted an individual. ‘Every child's reaction,’ commented someone else. ‘All creatures have love inside them,’ agreed an individual.

When R Madhavan shared a similar video

This is not the first time that R Madhavan has expressed his love for animals through Instagram posts. Previously, the actor dropped another uplifting video of a baby elephant politely asking for snacks from a vegetable vendor.

The video showed the baby elephant leaping its way towards the vendor, surveying the fresh produce on display — its flapping ears giving away the calf’s pure excitement. Moments before reaching out for the neatly stacked veggies, the baby elephant stops in its tracks and lifts its trunk, giving a little sniff of the air as if pleading with the vendor to give him a treat.

Although the vegetable seller was initially caught off-guard, he eventually pulled out a handful of crisp greens and gave them to the baby elephant with a smile. The calf took the veggies and placed them into its mouth. Almost instantly, the tiny visitor turned on its heels and dashed back toward its mother, swinging its trunk with pure joy, making up for a heartwarming moment.
