Abhishek Bachchan compares his mother Jaya's sacrifices to those of Aishwarya amid divorce rumours

Amid ongoing speculation surrounding their relationship, actor Abhishek Bachchan recently took the opportunity to acknowledge the unwavering support of his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Speaking in an interview, the actor expressed deep gratitude for Aishwarya's role as a devoted mother to their daughter, Aaradhya. He emphasized how her commitment to their family allows him to focus on his career in films.

In an interview with The Hindu, the Dasvi actor noted that while he is often away working on his projects, Aishwarya remains a constant presence at home, taking care of Aaradhya. He said, “Even in my household, I'm very lucky I get to go out and make the movies. But I know that Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya, and I thank her immensely for that.” He highlighted the importance of her selflessness in creating a stable environment for their daughter. Despite this, Abhishek acknowledged that children often don’t perceive their parents' sacrifices; they see their parents simply as caregivers who are always expected to be there.

Abhishek recalled Jaya Bachchan’s sacrifices

Drawing parallels to his own childhood, Abhishek reflected on the balance his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, maintained during the peak of their careers. He recalled how his mother stepped back from acting after his birth to focus on raising him and his sister, Shweta. Despite Amitabh's hectic schedule during the height of his stardom in the 1970s, Abhishek shared that he never felt his father’s absence. Amitabh always made time for key moments, such as school events or basketball finals, ensuring his children felt supported despite his demanding career. Abhishek fondly remembered how his father would return home late at night and leave early in the morning but still managed to be there for significant milestones in their lives.
