The recent Tamil romantic comedy Aan Paavam Pollathathu, starring Rio Raj and Malavika Manoj, is preparing for its digital release after a successful theatrical run. The film, which reunited the pair after the hit Joe, managed to draw solid footfall in cinemas and later generated strong interest as fans waited for its streaming update. With the makers now confirming its OTT launch, the movie is set to reach a wider audience across languages.

Streaming Begins in November

The film will make its digital debut on November 28, as announced by JioHotstar. It will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, extending its reach beyond its home market. According to the updates shared across reports, the platform has secured the post-theatrical rights, and the title will also be accessible through OTTplay Premium.

Directed by Kalaiarasan Thangavel, who marks his debut with this project, Aan Paavam Pollathathu completed its theatre run earlier this month. Produced by Vedikkaranpatti S. Sakthivel under the Drumsticks Productions banner, the film features a supporting cast including RJ Vigneshkanth, Sheela Rajkumar, Jenson Dhivakar, A. Venkatesh, and Uma Ramachandran.

A Story Rooted in Marriage, Differences, and Family Sentiments

The film focuses on a couple navigating the challenges that come after marriage. As shown through the narrative, the husband struggles to adapt to his wife's progressive outlook, which leads to increasing friction. Their disagreements eventually place them before a court, forcing them to evaluate whether their marriage is worth saving.

Various reports noted that the film blends humour and emotional moments. A review shared by CE highlighted that Rio Raj and Malavika Manoj delivered engaging performances, describing their characters as ones likely to stay with viewers long after the film ends. The review further added that although the latter half dips at times, the film still benefits from strong character writing and relatable situations.

Aan Paavam Pollathathu features story, screenplay, and dialogue by Sivakumar Murugesan, with Siddhu Kumar composing the music. Cinematography is handled by Madhesh Manickam, and Varun KG is credited as the editor.

Despite not having major star names or an established director, the film surprised the industry with its box office performance. Reports state that it achieved collections of around Rs 25 crore, with family audiences particularly responding to its mix of comedy and emotional storytelling.
