In an interview with Indian Express, 'Loveyapa' actors Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan talked about learning acting, something many actors from their parents' generation didn’t do. Khushi shared that her mother, Sridevi, never needed formal training because she started acting at the age of 4.
“To be fair, my mom didn’t need to because she started at 4. So I don’t think you can go to acting school at 3 years old," she stated. Junaid mentioned that his father, Aamir Khan, didn’t attend an acting school either but learned by working on diploma films at FTII. “Dad did spend a lot of time at FTII doing diploma films. So, he didn’t go to acting school per se. But yeah, he learnt largely on the job. I had the privilege of being able to go to theatre school, and spend a ‘ridonculous’ amount of my parents’ money on a theatre education. That’s a huge privilege, especially for a career that has no financial upside on the horizon," the actor added."
Junaid further mentioned, “I think different actors also approach things differently. As we work, as we learn, we develop tools that come to our aid when we need them. But I think a lot of it is again, just language. If you talk to dad about it, he will have done something but we just call it different things." In addition, Junaid Khan pursued theatre studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles after completing a Bachelor's degree in Commerce in Mumbai. He made his acting debut in 2024 with 'Maharaja', alongside Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari. 'Loveyapa', directed by Laxman Utekar, marks his and Khushi's first theatrical release, which was released on February 7
