A week after filing plea, Jacqueline Fernandez withdraws travel request to UAE for IIFA
Her plans fell through after UAE declared a 40-day mourning on the demise of President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to reports, the 'Bhoot Police' star withdrew her application requesting the court of Additional Sessions Judge Praveen Singh for suspending a Lookout Circular (LOC) issued against her and issue her a permit to travel abroad.
Last week, the 36-year-old sought the court's permission to travel abroad for 15 days, stating that she wanted to attend events in UAE, France, and Nepal. She had claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized her passport without citing any reason. After her application, the court sought a response from the probing agency.
In her recent appeal, Fernandez said she changed her plans after the 2022 IIFA Weekend & Awards, which was scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from May 17 to 22, was postponed to June. The Middle East country declared a 40-day mourning period after the demise of UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. However, she didn't mention details about the Nepal and France events.
According to the law enforcement agency, the actress's Nepal and France plans also fell through. ED informed the court that Fernandez's pass to attend the Nepal event had been cancelled, and she had not submitted satisfactory documents for her France travel.
Fernandez, who became a global celebrity after winning the 2006 Miss Universe title, is a Sri Lankan national. She started living in India after her Bollywood debut in the 2009 film 'Aladin'.
After questioning her on multiple occasions, the central probing agency finally stopped her from flying abroad, citing that she was needed for the ongoing money-laundering investigation against Chandrashekar and his actress-wife Leena Maria Paul.
It had alleged that Chandrashekar had gifted the actor numerous costly gifts, including some Persian cats and a horse. Last month, ED froze assets worth Rs 7 crore owned by the actress.
Bollywood actress-dancer Nora Fatehi has also been grilled by the ED in this case.
