A sweet deal for Ambika Hinduja
A brand of chocolate gets hauter with the heiress's designs on its packaging.

In the world of the affluent, often chocolates come with a designer touch. If the designer is none other than Ambika Hinduja, daughter of industrialist Ashok Hinduja, so much the better.

Ambika has designed the logo and box of a soonto-be-launched line of Couverture chocolates from a south Mumbaibased Scandinavian gourmet marzipan brand. The Hinduja heiress is a good friend of the brand's founders, Thomas Abraham and Thea Tammeleht. When she heard of their new line, 'Chocolat Delicatessen', she was keen to sample it despite being lactose intolerant. In fact the founders sent a few close friends a sample to taste. Abraham, director with the brand, says,"Ambika loved the chocolates after tasting them and wanted to get involved. One thing led to another and she ended up designing the logo and outer packaging."
Couverture chocolates are made from high quality chocolate and contain 31-39 per cent cocoa butter. This particular line has six varieties. The cocoa beans have been sourced from Ecuador and processed in Belgium. To ensure that the chocolates don't melt during transit between the store and the customer's home, the moulds inside the box have been lined with a special gel that will keep the chocolates cool for up to two days.
