A month to go, theme song for Rio Olympics unveiled

Come August 5, and Brazil will be enjoying a carnival-esque state of mind with 306 sporting events playing out over a span of 19 days. On Sunday, the theme song for this multi-sporting extravaganza was unveiled.

" Alma e Coração" ( Soul and Heart) is the official 2016 Rio Olympics theme song. Peppy and catchy in tune, this one has drumbeats playing over a visually-gorgeous Rio. Written by Victor Reis, Leo da Baixadae & Rodrigo Marquesis, the song is an attempt at lifting spirits for the Olympics host country that has seen a lot of bad press over the Zika outbreak.



Samba star Thiaguinho and rapper Projota feature in the video which is produced by Tropkillaz e Nave.
