Rick Ross surrendered at the Miami Beach Police Station early Thursday, two days after a woman filed a police report, as per reports by AP. It further reported that as per online court records, the rapper faces a felony charge of battery by strangulation along with a misdemeanor battery charge. An arrest report states that the woman told that she had been living with Ross on August 28 when he accused her of cheating on him. She alleged that he struck her multiple times, choked her using the collar of her shirt and slammed her into a wall.The woman claimed that she eventually managed to leave the house, but returned later in his absence to collect her belongings. Ross, 50, was released from jail later Thursday after posting a $5,000 cash bond, according to court records. His arraignment is scheduled for October 22. Ross’ attorney Steve Sadow called him “wrongfully accused” by an ex-girlfriend, questioning her motives and noting the delayed police report. Sadow said “Mr. Roberts is innocent” and has pleaded not guilty, urging fans and the public not to prejudge the case.

Five years later, he expanded the property by buying another 87 acres for $1 million.

Speaking to Forbes, he revealed one particularly extravagant piece of equipment he uses for the job- his air-conditioned tractor which also has a radio. For him the tractor is not just for maintaining the grounds, it gives him another level of peace.
