A first look at Micromax's Infinity smartphone with 18:9 display

After a slow 2016, Micromax has gained momentum this year with a number of new launches. From the past few days, there have been rumors of the company launching a new smartphone with 18:9 display - we have the first picture of the handsets and they belong to Micromax’s upcoming new Infinity range.

There will be at-least two models in the Infinity range of smartphones. Both are expected to have an 18:9 aspect ratio display - currently this is available only on the Samsung and LG flagship which are priced above the Rs 50,000 price mark. Hardware specifications are expected to be different depending on the price of the variant when they are launched later this month.



Details regarding hardware and other features are unknown, but considering Micromax’s track record, we expect these phones to have competitive specifications and features. There is no information available regarding the price of the phones, but as per sources, Micromax is gearing up to launch the Infinity series in August itself.

Rahul Sharma, Co-founder of Micromax had told Economic Times earlier in this year that Micromax will be back with a bang by Diwali. From the first look of the Infinity series phones, it looks like Micromax is all set to make this big come back.
