Before her death, she reportedly wrote multiple letters to her bank, willing all her assets to Sanjay Dutt. The actor had no idea about her plans until he was informed by the police after her passing.

But instead of accepting the inheritance, Dutt made a quiet, powerful decision. "I gave it back to her family," he said. The news reports claimed that his lawyer confirmed that the actor didn’t know Nisha personally and had no intention of claiming the assets, choosing instead to ensure they returned to her family, even if legal processes were needed.
