The Indian coach has had the highs of his team winning the series in all three formats against the West Indies, but on social media, he has faced a lot of flak.

On social media site, Twitter - Indian cricket coach Ravi Shastri has shared a number of tweets from the Indian tour of West Indies which have drawn numerous trolls to comment on them.

Donning a yellow shirt and a brown hat, sunglasses in hand and wearing shorts, Ravi Shastri on August 21 first tweeted a photograph with former West Indian Viv Richards. What appears to be Richards's home in Antigua is the background for this picture.

There were some nasty comments about the Indian coach for the team's loss in England in the World Cup in July as well as comments about how Shastri's fitness had gone for a toss. Trolls praised Richards as a coach and even suggested the duo would have a peg or two to celebrate their reunion.

Three days later on August 21, Shastri uploaded a black and white picture of all-rounder Dwayne Bravo with him in the stands. Both men seems to be smiling at the camera with the Indian wearing his team jersey and cap.

While the previous tweet got just a few trolls to comment, the one five days later on August 26 had versions with liquor bottles in Shastri's hand being tweeted. With the sea, a mountain, the blue sky and some green foliage in Antigua as the background, the former all-rounder is seen in a mustard t-shirt, shorts, a hat and sunglasses on with his arms stretched out.

The word juice should be changed for alcohol, many users replied to the tweet saying. There were also memes that were tweeted as replies that spoke about him drinking alcohol. His fitness was also questioned again.

Wearing a floral lemon yellow shirt with sunglasses and a hat, Shatri tweeted a picture, three days later with fellow coaches - Bharat Arun and R Sridhar at the Bob Marley museum in Kingston, Jamaica. All three are in shorts with a statue of the reggae singer and songwriter behind them. Sridhar is also wearing a blue floral shirt with sunglass in the photograph.

The trolls attack all three, suggesting that they smoke weed and drink rather than coaching the team and need to work on their fitness. They even point out to Shastri getting the name of Marley's famous song, No Woman No Cry wrong.

That did not stop Shastri from tweeting a video of the visit the next day. The 1:16 minute video got more than 13,000 views. There is Shastri promoting the Bob Marley museum with some inputs from Sridhar though Arun is quiet through most of it. The Indian coach is quite animated in the video with who appears to be the museum guide.

The duo are seen singing, exchanging a fist pump and completing each other's sentences. Shastri even shared an anecdote of his love for Marley. The trolls called for the 57-year-old to return back to commentary from coaching. They also suggested that he was either high on weed or alcohol.

Just yesterday, September 4 - after his team won all three series, Shastri tweeted a photograph of himself. This time he is holding a glass with the blue skies and sea as well as the sandy beach behind him. The Indian coach is wearing a blue shirt, shorts and a matching hat. There was a warning to the former Indian cricketer from Twitter users to beware of trolls given that his Caribbean tweets have not been received well on the social media site.

Though Shastri had made it clear that he has a glass of punch in his hand, the trolls had a gala time calling him a drunkard. There were even images of Shastri's look-alike on the Mumbai local that were tweeted in reply. There was also photo shop done with the tables filled with bottles of alcohols and tweeted in reply.

Next up is the South African tour of India that starts in 10 days, hoping Shastri has a better time on social media when he back in India.
