A 60-year-old daily wage worker from Kerala turns model, video of his sleek makeover goes viral

A 60-year-old daily wage worker from Kerala has gone viral on the Internet for his recent photoshoot.

Mammikka, who hails from Kerala's Kozhikode, had a makeover of his lifetime after he was picked to pose for a photoshoot for a local brand.

Switching his old lungi and shirt for a crisp suit, the 60-year-old also got a complete makeover at a salon as he received a nice beard trim and a sleek haircut.


In the video which is making the rounds of social media, Mammikka is seen walking towards the camera dressed in a faded pink shirt and brown lungi with a smile of his face.

It was photographer Shareek Vayalil who spotted Mammikka and decided to pick him for the photoshoot. Vayalil had earlier clicked a picture of the 60-year-old and shared it on his Facebook page.

Soon, the picture went viral as many pointed out the worker's uncanny resemblance to actor Vinayakan, Manorama News reported.

After that, the photographer asked Mammikka to pose for a wedding suit company that he owns. For the planned shoot, the wage worker went through a complete makeover, which was also captured and turned into a short video story and posted on the Internet. The video shared by the photographer on Instagram has over 20K views.
