80-year-old Subbulakshmi to star in 'Ammani'

Lakshmi Rama Krishnan almost ready with her next directorial venture, Ammani. Eighty-year-old Subbulakshmi has played the lead role in the film. Apparently, the story of the film revolves around this paatti. A source from the unit says, "The character has been written based on a real-life character. It is an inspirational story. The shoot is almost over and Subbulakshmi madam has done a great job."

The source adds, "She was very enthusiastic and energetic during the entire shoot. She never wanted to take it slow and we have not rescheduled the shooting so far. She does her scenes without many hassles. She doesn't like we calling her paatti during the shoot and she insists that we should call her only akka. She is so cool and cute."
