7% deaths in India due to respiratory diseases; here's how to make sure you breathe healthy air

Managing asthma attacks requires paying attention to environmental exposure both indoors and outdoors. In fact, asthma has been linked to respiratory infections and exposure to environmental factors such as allergens, tobacco smoke, and indoor and outdoor air pollution.

According to a study by Philips India, a healthcare-focussed technology major, indoor air can be two-to-five times more polluted than outside air.

There are several sources including pet dander, pollen, mould spores and harmful gases that can trigger allergies and aggravate them. Here are some takeaways from the study.
