$6 million Koenigsegg One: 1 is up for sale

While many may still ponder over the pronunciation of Koenigsegg (pronounced kuh-nicks-egg), enthusiasts are drooling over the $6 million Koenigsegg One:1. Collectors with deep pockets are racing ahead to grab the supercar that was used by the Koenigsegg factory to develop the rare performance One:1 model, the world’s first megacar.

There are only seven Koenigsegg One:1, of which six are production cars and one development car #00 which is the car that is put up for sale.

While Koenigsegg has sold all six of the production One, each sporting a $2.8 million base price tag, this is the last opportunity to own the one-off beast which is available for $6 million through SuperVettura, the Swedish automaker’s official distributor in the UK.

It is the same One : 1 that has been used by Christian von Koenigsegg and his team as a test bed to develop ground breaking technology such as active pre-set up utilising 4G network and GPS geo-tagging, Koenigsegg active chassis, Koenigsegg active aero, variable turbo geometry, 3D printed titanium parts, 3D printed turbo housing and new carbon lay up technology.

Boasting of 1,400 BHP with 1,360kgs, it is the world’s first car with over 1 horsepower per kilo. It is also the world’s fastest accelerating car to 300 km/h, as well as 0-300-0 and it is the fastest production car to ever lap Spa Francorchamps and Suzuka. The record-breaking Koenigsegg One:1 supercar is all set to hit the roads this month.
