Coffee mug

Grab a coffee mug and invite your colleague to fill up his own. You create a space where you can either work or bond together until your coffee lasts.

Measuring scale

Have a customized measuring scale for accurately measuring individual and team performance, eg sales targets, calls per day etc. Make sure your colleague understands and owns the same measuring scale.

Stopwatch

Initially your meetings will be long and unproductive as everyone will debate endlessly on minor issues. Use the stopwatch on your phone to limit meeting times, especially meetings called by you.

Calendar

Use a calendar to schedule your scarce time and to note down commitments as soon as you make them. Check your calendar every morning and at lunch time.

Smartphone

Use a smartphone to stay on top of things. It wouldn’t work if your teammates are aware of the client’s email which arrived on the weekend and you are clueless. Synchronise your calendar with your phone.
